Welcome Ministries

Tour Guides

As part of its welcome ministry and visitors services programs, Trinity Church offers regular public tours of our remarkable parish home. These tours give visitors who come from all over the United States and the world the opportunity to visually explore and learn about this masterwork of nineteenth-century American architecture and its groundbreaking decorative program. Tours are led by trained volunteer guides who tell the story of the building of the church, its architecture, and art. Periodically, training is offered to people interested in becoming tour guides. As part of the training, a new guide would learn about Trinity Church history, art and architecture, develop storytelling, public speaking skills and tour group management. Trinity tour guides are asked to lead 12 or more tours annually, Tuesday – Saturdays.

Episcopal 101

Are you new to the Episcopal Church and curious to learn more about its history and traditions? Are you a long-time Episcopalian with unanswered questions about “why we do that”? Have you been considering baptism or confirmation but never knew how to take the next step? If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, this class is for you! Join newcomers and long-tenured Trinitarians alike as we explore our Episcopal heritage. This three-course offering will be taught by the entire Trinity clergy staff and lunch will be provided. (Note: confirmation prep for youth is offered separately). Contact the Rev. Brandon Ashcraft with questions or to register.

OUT@Trinity

OUT@Trinity is a ministry that endeavors to spread the Good News of God’s all-embracing love, amplifying the message that LGBTQIA+ people are beloved children of God created in the image of God. The ministry is comprised of those who identify as LGBTQIA+ and their allies. In a spirit of evangelism, its members strive to ensure that Trinity’s wholehearted welcome of LGTBQ+ people reaches the wider community.

Hospitality Ministries

Parish Wide Events

We break bread together each week around the altar in our worship, and similarly, our monthly parish breakfasts offer us the opportunity to break bread with one another drawing us closer in community and relationship. Our Parish Wide Events team is a group of monthly volunteers that gather to prepare and serve the food for our parish breakfasts. This is a great way for newcomers or people with varied availability to jump in, help out and get to know one another better. The breakfast team is coordinated by the Priest for Hospitality & Care and opened to all using a monthly Sign-up genius link shared in all parish communication.

The Rev. Brandon Ashcraft

Priest for Outreach

Brandon joined the Trinity clergy team in May 2024 as the Priest for Outreach. In this role, Brandon empowers the people of Trinity to proclaim the Good News of God in Christ by promoting justice, peace, and love in ministries of service. In his work with hospitality and care ministries, Brandon strives to ensure that everyone who visits Trinity Church feels known and loved.

Before coming to Trinity, Brandon served parishes in Cleveland Heights, Ohio and Austin, Texas, and began his ordained ministry as a hospital chaplain in Minneapolis, where he met his husband, Bob. Prior to attending seminary at Yale Divinity School, Brandon worked for many years in Wall Street corporate communications in New York City. Originally from Mississippi, he completed his undergraduate studies at Sewanee, an Episcopal college in Tennessee.

Brandon and Bob live in Brighton where they enjoy spending time with their rescue dachshund, Miss Coco, and embracing their role as “funcles” to their two young nephews.
