How are you managing the stress of these days? Where do the words of the Beatitudes speak comfort and encouragement as you see direction forward? How do they turn the world upside down for you?

Stories are told over and over again and with each messenger the story comes to life for those who hear it, never underestimate your role in hearing and carrying the Christmas message of love in this world that is in desperate need of your feet and hearts to share it!

Has the world got you down? Do you feel like you can’t handle any more things on your plate? The disciples felt stretched beyond their limits, to which Jesus says- you have enough. Do you think you are enough? God does!

A Throne, a small chair, a high chair…. who sits WHERE is really not important, what is really important is the WHO. This week’s gospel invites us to wonder “where will you see the face of Christ in the seat beside you this week? Where will you LOVE the person beside you and what will you do if there is no chair?”

In a world of dichotomy, Martha and Mary are not at odds, rather it is how does one order one’s life. What comes first and how do we order the time that we have been given. How might we shape our day to respond in love rather than react in exasperation? Jesus speaks to our innermost weakness and desire in this week’s gospel. Come and sit for a second so that your work might be fueled with love.

The Hot weather seems to make us all a bit “hot and bothered,” Jesus speaks to his disciples about the importance of focus as they follow him. His words are sharp yet full of endurance and sustenance.

While it has already been 2 weeks since Easter, we are still glowing with the Easter morning joy. The disciples were surprised with God’s new and different way of sharing his love with the world. What are the ways that you hear God calling you by name to share the story of hope into the world in new and creative ways?

As we enter into this season of Lent, what lies and falsehoods will you let go of and how will you be held in the love of God in the community you find yourselves?
