Hello Trinity Church and friends!
My name is Henry Diver, and I am a choir member, a Visitor Services employee, and part of Duxbury’s Scout Troop 1812! Since April of 2024, I have been working with many people on my Eagle Scout Service Project. Trinity gets a lot of visitors (more than 70,000 a year!), and they often come seeking a tour when the building is closed or in service, and my project aims to give these folks another option. This project brought in various members of the Trinity community to write, voice, and edit an Exterior Audio Tour.
If you have been to Trinity recently, you may have seen the signs on the building for the new Exterior Audio Tour, a completely free digital tour of the church’s magnificent exterior. If you have 12 minutes to spare, I recommend scanning the QR code at the center of the West Porch and walking around the building or at least clicking this link and learning about the architecture and history of our culturally important church.
My hope for the project is to draw more of the Boston community to Trinity, as people often come to the gift shop and say they have lived in Boston their entire life, and walked past the building every day, but never been inside. My hope is this audio tour will make Trinity even more of a welcoming space to all.
