Staffing Update, October 2025

Dear Trinity,

I am delighted to share the news that Rebecca Hughes will be joining the Trinity Family Ministries team as the Minister for Youth and Young Adults. She will join the staff part-time for November and December and join us full-time starting January 1, 2026. Rebecca will oversee grades 6-12, college-aged students, and 20s-and-30s ministry. She will work closely with Kenna Bartholomew, our Minister for Early Childhood, who will oversee our youngest members through 5th grade.

Rebecca may be a familiar face to you, having grown up at Trinity and was an active youth in both parish and diocesan events. We are excited to have her join us. You will soon see Rebecca on Sundays assisting our acolytes and leading Sunday School Classes – please take a moment to say hello!

Joyfully,

Abi Moon
Senior Associate

Dear Trinity Church,

My name is Rebecca Hughes and I am honored to step into the role of Youth and Young Adults Minister. I grew up in Sharon, MA and have been attending Trinity Church as a parishioner since I was born. My connection to the Episcopal Church and my faith deepened as a member of the Trinity Youth program, becoming an acolyte, spending summers at the Barbara C. Harris Camp and Conference Center as a camper and a counselor, and planning diocesan wide youth retreats as a member of the Diocesan Youth Council. I graduated from Sewanee with a bachelor’s degree in Environment and Sustainability where I continued to develop my faith as a Sacristan. Since returning to Boston, I have valued serving as a Eucharistic Minister. Over the past two years I have enjoyed teaching preschool in Sharon and I am looking forward to working with teenagers and young adults. In my free time, I enjoy hiking and spending time outdoors, listening to music, and traveling. I was grateful to attend the Tutu Travel Seminar in 2023.

Having grown up as a member of the Trinity youth program I am excited to use my experiences to create new spaces for youth and young adults at Trinity to develop their faith. Trinity Church has supported me in many ways throughout my life and encouraged my faith development. I look forward to getting to know the Trinity community in a new way and supporting the youth and young adults as Trinity has supported me.

Blessings,

Rebecca Hughes
Incoming Minister for Youth and Young Adults
