Colin Lynch
Colin serves as the Director of Music at Trinity where he has the joy of leading a vibrant, intergenerational music program, at the heart of which are the Trinity Choirs and Choristers. He was led to Trinity because of the parish's strong commitment to sacred music as a vital, community-building ministry of the church. Colin was previously the Director of Chapel Music and School Organist at St. Paul’s School in Concord, NH following positions at Christ and Holy Trinity Church in Westport, CT, the Episcopal Church at Yale, and Marquand Chapel at Yale Divinity School. He has been a featured performer and speaker at national conferences of the American Guild of Organists, the Organ Historical Society, the Association of Anglican Musicians, and the Royal School of Church Music. Colin holds degrees from Northwestern University, Yale University, and Oberlin Conservatory where his teachers included Douglas Cleveland, Thomas Murray, James David Christie, and Olivier Latry. In addition to accompanying choirs on multiple recordings, his critically acclaimed debut solo album "The Organ of Stambaugh Auditorium" is available on the Raven Label. As an active concertizer and clinician, Colin is represented by Concert Artist Cooperative. A native of New Jersey, he and his husband Erik currently live in Winthrop with their beloved French bulldog, Marla Pooch.
