In Christ All Things Hold Together: From an Ethic to an Ethos of Creation Care
In the Letter to the Colossians, we read that Christ “is before all things, and in him all thing hold together.” We follow Jesus as our Teacher and worship him as our Savior – but how often do we experience a felt sense of Christ as the creative Word through whom all things came into being?
In this hour, Br. Keith Nelson, SSJE, will guide us as we explore invitations to commune with Christ the Creator in and through creation – the material expression of God’s love. We’ll ground our perspective within and alongside the sacred web of all Life, rather than above or outside it. Seeing, feeling, sensing, and praying from that place, we will boldly ask: How can we, who are Christ’s organism (body), embody an everyday ethos of creation care in his name?
