Christmas Shopping for Good!
Is the commercialism of the season getting you down? Here are three ways you can shop for the gifts you need that also support Trinity and other nonprofit organizations to do good in the world.
Trinity’s Alternative Gift Fair, scheduled for the morning of December 9, is a great opportunity to purchase gifts and/or make donations that make a difference. Organizations participating include The Heifer Project, Friends of Meali, and the Dever Elementary and McCormack Middle Schools in Dorchester.
For holiday and hostess gifts that lift the spirit, the Shop at Trinity Church should be your first stop. You'll find everything from coasters and mugs to silk scarves and ties. Just about every item is inspired by the art and architecture of this National Historic Landmark and active Episcopal parish. The Shop also offers Fair Trade merchandise and makes a concerted effort to work with small vendors and local artists. All purchases benefit the ministries of Trinity Church.
Only want to shop from the comfort of your own home? AmazonSmile is a simple and automatic way for you to support Trinity Church every time you shop online, at no additional cost to you. When you shop at smile.amazon.com, you’ll find the exact same shopping experience as Amazon.com, with the added bonus that Amazon will donate 0.5% of the purchase price to your designated charity. Simply go to smile.amazon.com from the web browser on your computer or mobile device. You may also want to add a bookmark to smile.amazon.com to make it even easier to return and start your shopping at AmazonSmile. Select Trinity Church in the City of Boston as your charitable organization of choice.
Happy shopping! And thank you!
