Candlelight Carols at Trinity Church

A beloved Boston tradition since 1909, Candlelight Carols celebrate the birth of Christ through Scripture readings, sing-along carols, and anthems offered by the Trinity Church Choir and local Boston instrumentalists.

In the October 21, 2016 edition of Yankee Magazine, writer Amy Traverso called it “…as close to heaven as human hands and voices have ever crafted. To be amid people in a room so full and so fully at peace. This is the Christmas of dreams.”

Tickets go on sale in early October.

Annual Performance of Handel’s Messiah

Each December, the Trinity Church Choir, professional soloists, and local musicians perform a concert of the first part of Handel’s Messiah, plus the famous Hallelujah Chorus. This is the only performance in Boston to hear this cherished work within a sacred space. The 2024 concert also included Vivaldi’s Gloria.
