It is the privilege of the Church to commend her members to God’s care and keeping at the time of death.
All that we have, and all that we are, is a gift from our creating, redeeming, sustaining God.
It is the privilege of the Church to commend her members to God’s care and keeping at the time of death. In the Episcopal tradition, we couple great gratitude for the life of the person who has died along with allowance and hallowing of grief of those who are experiencing loss. In that thin space, we are reminded that in death, “life has changed, not ended”.
Our theology at funeral services proclaims the Resurrection: that death has no final say or sway over love. Funerals at Trinity are held at set times throughout the week, and we do welcome funeral inquiries from members of the wider community who are not current members of Trinity Church.
Funerals are ordered according to the Episcopal Book of Common Prayer, and customarily include readings, homily, eulogies and music if desired.
