Ponder the Poet: Let’s Get Metaphysical

On most Sundays at 9:30 am, (prior to 9:45 Worship from Home), the music staff will host a Zoom session to introduce a new hymn or canticle that will then be featured in the service.
We will examine the life and work of George Herbert (1593-1633), literary and spiritual giant of the English Church, yet humble parish priest, known to his flock as “holy Mr. Herbert.” Today the choir will sing Richard’s setting of Herbert’s Easter poem “The Dawning.”
