Ash Wednesday Midday Service
As the Bishops of our Diocese have forbidden the distribution of ashes on Ash Wednesday, in addition to Scripture and sermon, prayers, and music, our liturgy will re-imagine the beginning of Lent by each of us planting a seed in a pot of soil. The soil is a good symbol of our humility in the face of all the brokenness in our lives and the wider world, and the seed is a good symbol for our hope that God will work in us to bring new life out of that brokenness. To that end, we invite you to prepare for Ash Wednesday by obtaining a pot of soil and seed to plant during the Ash Wednesday liturgy. If you are not able to obtain a pot of soil or seed, please use the contact form below to reach Director of the Rector's Office Alison Poor by this Friday, 2/12, and we will do our best to get those to you by Ash Wednesday.
Join us on Zoom for Ash Wednesday midday worship at 12:10 pm, or dial in with 1 646 558 8656 and enter Meeting ID 812 3725 8578.
