The Letter to the Ephesians was written as a source of encouragement to the church in Ephesus (Turkey). Paul (or a writer using Paul’s name and style) wrote to the nascent church regarding the potential for a unified community– that the divisions between Jew and Gentile were rendered irrelevant by the cross, offering a new beginning for both, shared equally. The first part of this letter proclaimed Jesus’ identity and God’s desire for a unified community, and the second half centers on shifting day to day practices in order to fulfill God’s hope.

These lecture-style programs during our Sunday Formation hour will begin at 11:15 am in the Church, allowing us to livestream and record the presentations. All four lectures in the series are available here.
