At Trinity, we offer educational programming for all ages to help our community grow in the Christian way of life
A process that is often referred to in the Church as “formation” (There are many places in the New Testament that refer to being “conformed” or “transformed” into the likeness of Christ).
We recommend that newcomers consider attending a Sunday Forum to begin their exploration of Formation. These Forums are offered most Sundays at 11:15, immediately following the 10am worship service, during the “Program Year” (the portion of the year that follows the academic calendar). The Sunday Forums cover a broad array of topics including fundamental aspects of Christian theology and practice. They often focus on the intersection between contemporary issues and the Christian faith and typically feature guest speakers, in addition to members of our clergy and staff.
Church School also takes place at 11:15am with classes from preschool to 3rd grade. Youth Formation takes place at the same time with three cohorts: Club 45 (4th and 5th grades), Middle School (6th – 8th grades) and High School (9th – 12th grades).
Additionally, there are opportunities at this hour specifically for the Twenties-and-Thirties cohort.
Sunday Forums occasionally take place in the Sanctuary after the service, but most often occur in the Lloyd Forum, which is found in the “Undercroft,” the area in the Lower Level below the Sanctuary. Elevators to the Lower Level are available near the Clarendon Street entrance at the front of the Sanctuary.
During the Summer, many Formation offerings take a hiatus.
